  • Complete the question on editing from the film " The usual suspects" opening scenes

Q4- How is editing used to create drama and tension in the opening scene?

The editing of the opening scene off the movie The usual suspects was clever and had an effect on the audience as the editing created tension in the opening scenes of the movie. For instance the scary spooky tone music appears when the man is seen at the top of the stairs and the man siting down looking up at him further tells the audience that the man is the villain hence creating a binary opposition. The editing cuts seemed to get quicker and quicker identifying to the audience that something is going to happen creating drama and tension near the climax of the opening scenes.
