Self evaluation

- During my preliminary exercise i worked with Khaleed and Arvinder where there were highs and lows before and during the preliminary exercise. In my preliminary i had to incorporate into the video many things such as match on match action, 180 degree rule, shot reverse shot and the video could only be between 45 seconds to 1 minute long.

- Overall Due to the circumstance my group was in overall we were pleased with the video that we produced with limited time. One of the vital things that was key to use getting the correct timing and shots was the tracker as it gave us a guideline to follow on who was doing what in what scene and how long the scene would be. One of the positive things my group did was making sure that we implicated and maintained the match on match action, reverse shot reverse and 180 degree throughout the production. furthermore we did the establishing very well which was key as it enabled the audience to see the environment and also indicates who's the main character. Another  thing we did well was that we tried to keep the production as simple as possible as it was the first time working on a production and we believe that the simple dialogue would effect the audience as it create an enigma code as they would be wondering whats going to happen next, as the charters are not giving anything away.During the exchange of dialogue we used reverse shot reverse to she who the character was talking to and also 180 degree so it made sense to the audience. moreover we also did the match on match action to perfection as it flowed from the character moving his hands towards the door handle and the next show was the door opening and the character walking through. finally the camera angles we used essential for example when "Alieu" opens the door looking for khaleed there was a low angle shot making he's look more powerful and angry.

- Although there were positives there were also negative to our production and things we could of done better as shown in the following:firstly, as we were limited on time we had to film where ever we could and the only place available was a class which a teacher was using. This made the audience wonder why there was a teacher in the background and during the product as it was in school we could hear students making noise and walking by our camera. Lesson learnt for next time is to make sure we organise our product making sure we know what to do and when to do it. secondly, the class room environment didn't match the production we wanted to do so it made our production less impacting towards the audience. Furthermore, there were many editing falls for example the camera most of the production was out of focus meaning we couldn't see clearly characters faces and facial expressions. We also didn't do the editing to a good enough standard resulting in the audience hearing some dialogue repeated which throw of the audience.

- One of the key things we learnt throughout the production is that we need to be organised as a group and be full committed otherwise it would be near impossible to get a good grade. Another thing that we learnt is that we have to take each others ideas into consideration and be patient with each other as we are all rookies when it comes to filming.
